Hi Piranhas Families,

We are looking for one parent volunteer to serve as our Philanthropic Chair this season!

This is a great volunteer role for someone who wants to help with a meaningful cause, and it will cover all volunteer commitments for the year. This role will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

This year, we’ll be collecting donations for the Children’s Restoration Network Back 2 School Drive, which helps provide new book bags and school supplies for children in need. Requested items include new book bags, notebooks, binders, pencils, markers, crayons, folders, paper, scissors, pencil pouches, and calculators.

The Philanthropic Chair would:

• Collect donations at our home meets and Fun Fridays starting in June
• Put together emails and website posts for families (a board member can send them out)

We already have the plan in place, so this role is very straightforward to execute.

Home meet collection dates:

• Thursday, May 28
• Tuesday, June 23

At the end of the season, Christine MacAvoy from the Board will collect all donations and take them to the charity once their drive opens over the summer.
